Project Controls SchedulerRoles and Responsibilities

POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Scheduler for our office in St. Louis, MO. This person will have an understanding of complex projects and how they work, scheduling knowledge, and will interact productively with key members of a project team with a variety of backgrounds.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Building resource and cost loaded CPM schedules using Primavera P6 for engineering and/or construction projects

  • Regular communication with various project teams and internal work groups

  • Developing, maintaining, and supporting energy delivery project schedules

  • Working with project manager, engineering leads and the contractor to ensure the schedule represents the execution plan

  • Reporting project progress to key stakeholders and provide visibility to critical deliverables through regular meetings

  • Utilizing look-ahead schedules to help manage the work

  • Managing changes and keeping teams aware of changes to the schedule

  • Updating individual tasks and Project Performance Indicators as indicated on progress updates

  • Maintaining material delivery status with Material management contractor and updating schedules with any material delays

  • Attending weekly contractor update meetings and incorporating contractor schedules into the overall project schedule

  • Identifying potential scheduling delays and assisting with mitigation

  • Updating accruals and creating pay summaries

Required Education/Experience

  • BS/BA in Business, Engineering, or Construction Management and/or related field experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Primavera P6 software

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Desired Education/Experience

  • Certification from AACE or PMI

  • Oracle and MS Project knowledge

  • One (1) + years of experience in scheduling support

  • Three (3) + years of professional experience

  • Experience in transmission line substation scheduling
