Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for our Power Delivery Project Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technical and financial aspects of Power Delivery projects, managing and developing client relationships, and marketing POWER's Power Delivery services to existing and new clients in the respective region. Other responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
Promote company culture and manage internal and external relationships
Manage status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable and unbilled for each project
Collaborate with project design teams
Provide leadership and mentoring to the project team
Develop & maintain schedules, lead/participate in green sheet meetings with project teams, oversee budgets, participate in proposal preparation, take leading role in client relationships
Work primarily with Power Delivery, but may also interface with Environmental, PCI and PTE, based on the nature of any particular project
This position will primarily have local travel to regional clients
Demonstrated Project Management skills should include CPM scheduling, budget and cost analysis, managing project teams, as well as proposal writing, client marketing, and project presentations
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University required-engineering, engineering management, or construction management discipline OR 10+ years of professional experience in the electric power and communications industry
Minimum of five to ten (5-10) years applicable industry experience
Minimum of three (3) + years relevant project management experience
Relevant experience includes small- to medium-scale project management, and/or project lead engineering experience on projects
Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools required
General understanding of transmission systems required
Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting required
Desired Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University required-engineering, engineering management, or construction management discipline preferred
Seven (7) + years of project management experience preferred
Familiarity with regional utilities in the respective region
PE registration is desired
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
Experience in project management controls area preferred
