Entry Level Transmission Line Engineer
Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
POWER Engineers is currently seeking an Entry Level Transmission Line Engineer to join our Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department in our San Diego, California office. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions.
Required Education/Experience
BSCE or BSEE (Bachelor of Science in Civil or Electrical Engineering) degree from an accredited university
Engineer In Training (EIT) registration is required
The candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite
Desired Education/Experience
Minimum 2.75 Grade Point Average (GPA)
Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design and surveying.
Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering, is desirable.
