POWER Engineers’ Environmental Division is seeking an administrative professional in our Salt Lake City office to support a diverse group of staff who provide environmental and engineering solutions to clients worldwide. This highly motivated professional will be part of a team that performs project support services for our technical staff across several U.S. offices.

Roles and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be a team player able to work in potential high-pressure situations while interacting with internal and external clients. This team member must possess a positive attitude and be able to provide a resourceful approach to assigned tasks.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Serve as a key contributor to the division’s document quality control process by providing support in editing, proofreading, transmitting deliverables; and maintaining electronic files

  • Coordination of multiple aspects of project administration under the lead Engineer’s or Scientist’s direction. Serving as the administrative lead for high profile/large scale, multi-disciplinary projects, including meeting schedules and facilitation, action items, client interactions, and record management.

  • Lead and/or participate in a variety of division-wide initiatives to foster communication, employee engagement and operational efficiencies

  • Assist leadership in operational activities such as preparing labor forecasting/projections spreadsheets and other reports, and drafting group communications

  • Provide support to project staff by making travel arrangements, entering expense reports, and other assistance as needed

  • Manage the office, breakroom, conference rooms

  • Support meetings and trainings by coordinating with staff, ordering food, reserving conference rooms, and configuring rooms as requested

  • Organize office special events.

  • Other duties as assigned

    Required/Preferred Education/Experience

  • GED or High School diploma required/Some college is preferred

  • At least five years previous experience in an administrative support role (experience working in consulting firm and/or in environmental compliance is a plus)

  • Advanced skills in MS Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook; and Adobe Acrobat

  • Advanced skills in virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, Webex, etc.)

  • Must have exceptional multitasking abilities and organizational skills with strong follow-through and attention to detail

  • Must have excellent communication skills, verbal and written

  • Must have strong note taking skills

  • Experience in technical content proofreading a plus, but not required

  • Available for minimal travel
