Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities

POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for our Power Delivery Project Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technical and financial aspects of Power Delivery projects, managing and developing client relationships, and marketing POWER's Power Delivery services to existing and new clients in the respective region. The candidate selected for this position may work remotely full-time at a location other than a POWER Engineers-designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings.

Other responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

  • Promote company culture and manage internal and external relationships

  • Manage status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable and unbilled for each project

  • Collaborate with project design teams

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to the project team

  • Develop & maintain schedules, lead/participate in green sheet meetings with project teams, oversee budgets, participate in proposal preparation, take a leading role in client relationships

  • Work primarily with Power Delivery, but may also interface with Environmental, PCI and PTE, based on the nature of any particular project

  • This position will primarily have local travel to regional clients

  • Demonstrated Project Management skills should include CPM scheduling, budget and cost analysis, managing project teams, as well as proposal writing, client marketing, and project presentations

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University required-engineering, engineering management, or construction management discipline OR 10+ years of professional experience in the electric power and communications industry

  • Minimum of five to ten (5-10) years of applicable industry experience

  • Minimum of three (3) + years of relevant project management experience

  • Relevant experience includes small- to medium-scale project management, and/or project lead engineering experience on projects

  • Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools required

  • General understanding of transmission systems required

  • Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting required

Desired Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University required-engineering, engineering management, or construction management discipline preferred

  • Seven (7) + years of project management experience preferred

  • Familiarity with regional utilities in the respective region

  • PE registration is desired

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred

  • Experience in project management controls area preferred

POWER is a fun engineering firm. That might seem contradictory to some, but it works for us!

Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $75k - $163k per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
