Project Coordinator

POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator for our Power Delivery Project Services Group in Richmond, Virginia. The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team working closely with the Project Manager in the coordination of engineering projects of varying sizes and complexity. The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting, organizing, and controlling project activities under the direction of a Project Manager. The Project Coordinator will split time between POWER’s office and our client’s.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the client to coordinate schedules for resources

  • Understand the movement of individuals across multiple projects

  • Identify critical paths for individual projects and programs

  • Identify red flag issues with project schedules

  • Tracking and reporting on project deliverables and milestones on multi-discipline complex projects

  • Working closely with all levels of management and disciplines/departments within POWER; and coordinating & communicating relevant project information to the team

  • Providing high-level coordination/administrative and analytic support to Project Managers

  • Assisting with scheduling deadlines and maintaining project deliverables schedules for multiple projects

  • Tracking project changes

  • Assisting with subcontractor/vendor process

  • Acting as the liaison between POWER and clients as required

  • Maintaining project folders and ensuring document/record transfer information into ProjectWise

  • Help set agendas, take meeting minutes, and bird dog action items

    Required Education/Experience

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of applicable experience

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    Desired Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience with MS Project, MS Visio, Oracle, and ProjectWise

  • Certification from AACE or PMI
