Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities

Seeking a Mechanical Drafter to work in our Generation, Computer Aided Engineering Department in our office in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. The position will involve creation and modification of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Orthographic, isometric and redline markups utilizing both AutoCAD and MicroStation. Drafter responsibilities include utilizing and following specific codes, reference material, CAD standards, and the ability to use application software effectively with a high level of detail and accuracy. Candidates will be expected to take on new challenges and willing to learn.

Required Education/Experience

  • Associates Degree in Drafting (or equivalent technical degree or experience)

Desired Education/Experience

  • Microsoft Word and Excel experience is beneficial

  • Good background in mathematics

  • Experience working with scales

  • Mechanical piping, 3D modeling and SmartPlant experience a plus
