Senior Program Manager

POWER Engineers, Inc. provides program management services for our client’s major electric power delivery projects across North America and selected programs globally. We are seeking a uniquely talented and experienced Program Manager to drive operational excellence in our delivery of program and portfolio management services to our clients. Our Program Manager position will offer you an exciting opportunity to solidify POWER’s leadership position with our clients as the program and project delivery partner of choice.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Client Delivery:

  • Perform program health assessments and implement turn-around strategies

  • Lead/support stand-up of new programs using accepted program management methodologies

  • Develop and implement client project management offices (PMO)

  • Preparation of portfolio-specific specific execution plans

  • Perform program and portfolio management

  • Practice Development:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and enhance program management methodologies, tools, and supporting artifacts

  • Implement a comprehensive continuous improvement program

  • Provide Program/Portfolio Management Information Solution oversite

  • Business Development:

  • Lead/support development of project/portfolio/program management proposals

  • Communicate program and project management value to executive stakeholders

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or technology

  • Fifteen (10) + years of experience in project and program management

  • Ten (10) + years of experience in the Electric Utility/Power Delivery market

  • Practical program/portfolio mobilization and execution experience

  • Familiarity with PMI and related management strategies and processes

  • Process development, documentation, and training

  • Experience in developing and executing program strategies, plans, and initiatives

Desired Education/Experience

  • Relevant electric utility contacts with a history of capturing utility projects and programs

  • PMI Certification

  • Application of project and portfolio governance approaches at the organizational level

  • Use of commercial project and program management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Unifier, Aconex, Ecosys)

  • Ability to travel up to 50%

DOE Salary: The pay range for this position is $150K-$180K annually; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
