Roles and Responsibilities
Leading and producing packaging system designs, including:
Developing and tracking packaging CAD, design deliverables, and budget
Contributing to mass balances, conveyor calculations, and other engineering deliverables
Developing all deliverables to POWER and Client CAD standards
Creating teamwork plans as necessary to meet project requirements, able to delegate or monitor the work, budget, and schedule
Providing leadership experience for drafters and other designers
Participating in site visits for data acquisition, meetings, and installation support, support vendor FATs or reviews as needed
Communicating within the internal project team and with the external client team consistently and clearly by providing weekly internal project documentation, leading design team meetings and ensuring appropriate interdisciplinary project coordination
5-10 years of AutoCAD 2D/3D relevant work experience
3D Modeling capabilities in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Navisworks
5+ years Designer experience in design and layout of Food or Beverage (prefer packaging) systems
Ability to travel 10-30% within the United States
Technical Design Degree or other credentials
3D modeling ability using scan and point cloud data in a variety of formats
8-10+ years 3D CAD design experience
Experience in leading equipment FATs, including documentation and testing work
Manufacturing or equipment design experience
