PTE Training Manager

This role is responsible for delivering programs, and processes to support testing and energization staff. Programs may include technical, safety, skill-building workshops, Human Performance Improvement, and other initiatives in support of the business.

This position reports to our Houston, Texas office with the ability to work remotely from any mutually acceptable location.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate classroom and virtual training sessions, incorporating adult learning principles

  • Delivery of safety and Human Performance Improvement skill building

  • Facilitate conference calls, webinars, and program pre-calls

  • Create, collaborate on, edit, and/or proofread curriculum content, presentations, reference guides, and communication

  • Identify and facilitate related external training

  • Manage the PTE training facility; maintain a safe learning environment

  • Facilitate development and delivery of training sessions using the facility

  • Analyze program effectiveness to identify opportunities for improvement

  • Support creation and maintenance of program calendar

  • Provide project management support as needed

  • Updates to learning management system including, posting calendar of offerings and roster updates

  • Contribute the development and improvement of team processes

  • Perform other duties as requested

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of training experience in adult learning

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver formal training and facilitate an environment conducive to adult learning

  • Experience in facilitating discussions with groups

  • Experience in virtual facilitation and managing experiences across multiple locations

  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks to meet deadlines required

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for an effective working relationship with various levels of employees

  • Demonstrate communications skills (verbal and written) necessary to foster productive relationships across the company

  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding, and ever-changing work environment

Desired Education/Experience

  • Master's degree

  • Experience delivering technical training in substation electrical, safety, Human Performance Improvement or substation electrical testing subjects
