Project Coordinator - Government Services

The Government Services Project Controls Department at POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team, responsible for document control, organizing, and assisting with project activities under the direction of Project Managers and Project Engineers. This position has a wide variety of client contact and must represent POWER in a professional manner.

Must be a US Citizen.

Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the execution of project deliverables and ensuring milestones are met on multi-discipline complex Government Services projects. Other responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Support the creation and maintenance of engineering documents, i.e. reports, Design Analysis/Basis of Design, drawing packages as well as provide a quality review of these documents

  • Work closely with all levels of management and disciplines/departments within POWER and outside consultants

  • Ability to work with multiple team members

  • Ability to multi-task among projects and tasks efficiently. Among the various responsibilities, PCs manage deadlines, deliverables, formatting documents, filing documents

  • Coordinate and communicate relevant project information to the team

  • Provide high level coordination/administrative support to Project Managers

  • Track project schedule/deliverables changes during development

  • Liaise (Point-of-Contact) between PEI and the client

  • Maintain project folders and ensures document/record transfer information into ProjectWise

  • Support and attend key project meetings (internal or with client) at the Project Manager’s discretion; this includes providing conference planning, scheduling, and meeting support

  • Review Employee Expense Reports and ensure compliance with Federal (FAR) regulations

  • Willing to travel as needed

Required Education/Experience

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in the roles and responsibilities listed above

  • Solid organization skills including quality, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills

  • Strong communication and writing skills

  • Advanced analytical skills

  • Must be Self-motivated with proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team within a fast-paced environment

  • A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel; Adobe/Bluebeam (pdf) is required. Familiarity with Biscom FileShare, OneNote, Dynamics ERP, PowerPoint, ProjectWise, SharePoint is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of ERP system

Desired Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Technical editing experience

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of project contracts and change order documents
