Power Engineers Drafter in Hailey, Idaho




Department:Power Delivery Hailey Overhead Line Dept



POWER Engineers, Inc. is currently seeking a Drafter to work in the Power Delivery Overhead Line Department in our Hailey, Idaho office. The position entails drafting and design opportunities on overhead power line projects that include plan and profile, structure, foundation, and other miscellaneous construction drawings.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Associates degree in drafting (or equivalent technical degree)

  • AutoCAD 2010-2019 experience

  • Experience with Microstation a plus

  • Adobe PDF creation

  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adaptable to changes in work assignments

  • Must be flexible to changes in work assignments as changes occur in project needs

  • Time management and organizational skills are essential

  • Willing and able to self-check own work for completeness and accuracy

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings to scale and utilize software annotation and scale functionality

  • The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with other team members

Desired Education/Experience:

  • 1-3 years drafting experience with AutoCAD

  • Experience with MicroStation is a plus

  • Knowledge of MS Office products

  • Good background in basic mathematics

  • Experience working with 3D drafting and detailing is a plus

  • Bluebeam Revu experience is a plus

  • Working knowledge of survey coordinate systems is a plus

  • Practical intern or utility industry experience is preferred
