POWER Engineers is seeking a Benefits Administrator. This person will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the company health and welfare programs for employees and eligible dependents. This position functions as a liaison between plan administrators and members while advising members on eligibility, coverage, and other benefits matters. The selected individual will assist in monitoring employee inquires and maintaining the Benefit Department’s timely and accurate responses (within 24 hours). This role also provides analytical and technical support in the delivery of benefit programs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily benefit processing (enrollments, medical, vision, dental and FSA/HSA claim submissions and claims resolution, benefit departure notices, QMCSO’s, and employee benefit files maintenance) includes but not limited to, working on the weekly error, suspended, and life event reports. Work with the Business Analyst for assistance with resolving OAB related issues.

  • Conduct weekly new-hire orientations. Provide backup for the Area Lead with the Hawaii Orientations. Develop and manage new-hire materials. Prepare packets to be mailed to office locations and schedule the meeting invites.

  • Provide backup support to the Benefits Coordinator/Administrators to conduct weekly new- orientations to also include the new hire orientations for the Hawaii and Canadian offices.   • Provide backup for the Area Lead with Benefits Administration for POWER Engineers Canada group.

  • Perform and monitor daily benefit processing (enrollments, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, and employee benefit files maintenance).

  • Provide day-to-day coordination and communication of group benefit programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker’s compensation, life insurance, flexible spending plans, and 401(k) plan for all company employees.

  • As part of the Benefits team, coordinate, design and present open enrollment presentations for new and existing employees at designated company locations. Create communication pieces for employees explaining benefit services, events, and changes.

  • Assist the Benefits Coordinator with the review of the Oracle Advanced Benefits system monitor and maintain an accurate database and ensure timely updates and data transmission to the Payroll Department for premium deductions.

  • Provide benefit technical support, troubleshoot system problems, test system functionality, and work with end users to provide system support. Includes but not limited to, working on the weekly error and life event reports. Update systems and databases for benefit changes. Work with the Business Analyst for assistance with resolving OAB related issues.

  • Ensure timely compliance with government and other regulatory agencies reporting requirements. Design and distribute electronic and hard copy materials for benefit orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions. Provide training and support to group benefits associates, home office associates, and field staff.

  • Assist in the implementation of benefit programs.

  • Leave of Absence Administration and handling Workers Compensation Claims.

  • Assist with the annual onsite wellness offerings for the Boise and Hailey office locations (Biometric Health Screening and Flu Shots).

  • Assist with the audit and monitor eligibility requirements for ACA Reporting and 1095-C filing.

  • Prepare 60 and 90 day look back reports.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned and provide backup support to the Benefits Coordinator and Benefits Analyst/Benefits Accountant.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Benefits Administration

  • Experience with leave of absence and workers compensation administration

  • Knowledge of the Affordable Care Act, and the various leaves of absences: FMLA, Military, PFL, and various State mandated leaves

  • Knowledge of Benefit Plans and Design

  • Working knowledge of MS Office products

  • Working knowledge of Oracle Applications

  • Customer Service

  • Good Communications Skills

  • Organized and detailed oriented
