Staff Assistant

In this exciting new position, you will have the opportunity to make significant impact to the success of POWER’s testing and energization team. Part of your role will include assisting in delivering the PTE training function in our Ft. Mill training center. This will include responsibilities such as; booking and setting up classrooms, managing schedules, maintaining records, and communicating with participants. Additionally, in this position you will be part of a team responsible for managing data specific to the National Support Team’s operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Compile reports and import information by entering/retrieving data from multiple systems/resources

  • Assist with data validation, documentation, and data quality reviews supporting third party equipment rental activity

  • Work closely with the National Support Department Manager to analyze and control third party equipment rental reporting needs

  • Manage all logistical aspects of training events including room reservations and set-up, coordination of food and beverage, selection of event space, etc.

  • Prepare copies of materials for training programs and other learning events

  • Manage training schedules and records. This includes providing logistic support to training participants before, during and after training sessions

  • Communicating with various project teams and internal work groups

  • Ability to pass a background and drug test if requested

Required Education / Experience

  • High school diploma

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel

  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

  • 3 or more years’ experience in managing, analyzing and reporting data using Microsoft Excel

Desired Education/Experience

  • Experience with Smartsheet

  • Prior experience with accounting preferred

  • Prior experience with ERP systems i.e. Oracle

  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and organize

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Able to work independently and as a team player

  • Able to learn new tasks and software

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Able to take direction from multiple people

  • Self-starter, reliable, and hardworking

  • Two (2) + years supporting corporate training or

  • Two (2) + years supporting training or accounting activities
