POWER Engineers is currently seeking a Mid-Level Transmission Line Engineer to work in the Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department in our Denver, Colorado office. Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design for new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions
Candidate will be expected to lead a project team through all phases of a transmission line project
Candidate will be the main point of contact between the client and POWER to ensure the project scope, schedule and budget are met
BSCE or BSEE degree, from an accredited university
Experience in the design of overhead High Voltage and Extra High Voltage transmission lines including route selection, line and structure spotting, structure design and analysis, foundation design and analysis, and development of construction bid packages.
PLS-CADD proficiency is required
Experience in foundation design using L-Pile or FAD is preferred
The candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to communicate effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite
Four (4) or more years experience in transmission line design, as outlined above
Professional Engineering (PE) license strongly preferred
Management and team leadership experience with direct reports and other leadership skills
