Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
POWER Engineers is seeking a Drafter to work in the Power Delivery Substation Department in our Denver office located in Lakewood, Colorado.
Responsibilities
- The position entails drafting and design opportunities on substation projects that include physical layout drawings as well as schematics and wiring diagrams.
Required Education/Experience
Associates degree in drafting (or equivalent technical degree).
Experience using AutoCAD 2000 and/or newer versions preferably in an engineering work environment.
The candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with other team members.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.
Desired Education/Experience
Any drafting experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, preferably in an engineering work environment.
Experience with CAD Overlay and MicroStation IRAS B.
Knowledge of substation electrical schematics and wiring diagrams is beneficial.
Good background in mathematics.
Experience working with scaled drawings.
Reliable self-starter who takes ownership of assigned tasks.

DOE Salary: The pay range for this position is $19-$25 per hour; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
