Engineering Office Assistant

POWER Engineers, Inc. is currently seeking a Receptionist/Engineering Office Assistant for the SCADA & Analytical Services (SAS) Department of the Power Delivery Division in our Denver, Colorado office.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Performs office reception tasks: greets visitors, answers phones, updates contact lists, ships packages, books conference rooms, orders catering services, etc.

  • Provides direct or indirect assistance to engineers, administrative staff, and other departmental personnel, as well as general office support

  • Provide document control such as typing transmittals, letters and documents, managing electronic files

  • Operates office equipment such as printers, scanners, and copy machines

  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance; troubleshooting failures; calling for repairs; monitoring equipment operation

  • Scans and copies documents for retention purposes

  • Responsible for organizing scanned documents on various local and network storage devices

  • Tracks, records, and processes vendor drawing and specification submittals

  • Updates company and office calendars

  • Performs office administrator duties including but not limited to:

  • Coordinating office blood pressure checks

  • Office party coordination

  • Adding new furnishings, EX: task lights, trash cans, white boards, etc.

  • Set up of office cubicles for new employees

  • Managing the mailing for the office

  • Managing or assisting with the minor office repairs

  • Managing the office key/security with corporate IT

  • Submitting requisitions for vendors or supplies

  • Maintaining the current labor posters with Corporate HR

  • Enters travel requests, expense reports, and purchase requisitions

  • Perform light cleaning duties as needed

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion

  • Follows internal records procedures as well as client-requested procedures

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Education/Experience

  • One (1) + year applicable experience or relevant degree

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
