Power Delivery Project Manager
POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for our Power Delivery Project Management team – ideally this PM will be located in Columbus, OH office, however, we will consider applicants for Ann Arbor, MI; Cincinnati, OH; or Syracuse, NY.
Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technical and financial aspects of power delivery projects, managing and developing client relationships, and marketing POWER's power delivery services to existing and new clients in the respective region. Other responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
Promote company culture and manage internal and external relationships
Manage status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable and unbilled for each project
Collaborate with project design teams
Provide leadership and mentoring to the project team
Develop & maintain schedules, lead/participate in project meetings with project teams, oversee budgets, participate in proposal preparation, take leading role in client relationships
Work primarily with Power Delivery, but may also interface with other POWER divisions based on the nature of any particular project
This position will primarily have local travel to regional clients
Demonstrated project management skills should include CPM scheduling, budget and cost analysis, managing project teams, as well as proposal writing, client marketing, and project presentations
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in an engineering discipline or engineering management required
Ten (10) + years’ applicable industry experience
Five (5) + years' relevant project management experience
Relevant experience includes small- to medium-scale project management, or project lead engineering experience on projects
Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools
Knowledge of substation design principles and substation project management experience
Proficiency with financial analysis tools and project management controls in a utility setting
Desired Education/Experience
PE registration or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Seven (7) + years’ project management experience preferred
Experience in substation designs and management preferred
Familiarity with regional utilities and project interconnection processes
