Engineering Technology Implementation InternJob Summary of Roles and Responsibilities

POWER Engineers is seeking a talented electrical engineering or computer science student for a summer (2022) internship. Under the guidance of our Technology Implementation Lead the successful candidate will be involved in developing tools and processes to streamline current operations and evaluating software to increase efficiencies. The position will involve data collection, transformation, collation, and assisting various departments with automating their existing processes.

Required Education/Experience

  • Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Well organized and self-motived to complete projects.

  • Computer literacy and the ability to learn new computer software efficiently.

  • Candidate is interested in consulting engineering and the electric utility industry.

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.

Desired Education/Experience

  • Minimum of a 3.25 GPA.

  • Prior utility experience is not required but would be preferred.

  • Familiarity with Python, C++, Smartsheet, Power BI, as well as Microsoft Excel, is beneficial.
