POWER Engineers Inc., one of the nation’s strongest energy-related engineering and environmental consultants, is seeking a versatile Writer/Editor for our Marketing and Proposal Development department.

Roles and Responsibilities

This is a professional-level position focused on writing client-focused project summaries, case studies, resumes, and experience narratives for proposals, qualification packages and marketing materials. This person will also be responsible for coordinating and organizing these materials in our proposal database as well as assigning and editing the work of others. Activities may also include working on proposal teams to develop new content in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This is not a sales position.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or above

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in communications, journalism, PR, grant or technical writing, publishing, or related fields

  • Exceptional writing skills adaptable to a variety of formats and content

  • Editing skills including adherence to AP and company-specific styles

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Journalistic curiosity and persistence in tracking down information

  • Ability to innovate and incorporate process improvements

  • A high degree of self-motivation, initiative and follow-through

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal management and staff

  • Ability to navigate multiple assignments and prioritize tasks based on shifting needs

  • Able to work a regular 40-hour week with occasional overtime

Desired Education/Experience

  • Experience in A/E/C industry

  • Experience leading and coordinating teams

  • Experienced in relational database concepts such as searching, reporting, and entry standards

  • Knowledge of CRM, proposal or content marketing databases
