Senior Infrastructure and Security Administrator

The Infrastructure and Security Administrator position is responsible for the day-to-day support, maintenance, and installation of infrastructure services, servers, and virtualization technologies. This position will have a strong focus on security and automation and will require technical experience in security and vulnerability assessment and remediation. Additionally, this position will require knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VMWare ESX. This position is also responsible for having the ability to advise and cross-train fellow administrators, engineers, and individuals within the Service Desk support organization. Will collaborate with POWER’s IT organizational departments such as Infrastructure Engineering, Application Services, and the Service Desk to implement, support, troubleshoot, and monitor in concert with the infrastructure engineering plans and documented practices.

This position is posted in Boise, Hailey, Sacramento and Ft Worth but, can work remotely from any location in the U.S. (Please note where you will be located in the application).

Roles Responsibilities:

  • Security - hotfix and patch deployment in accordance with engineering's test and validation processes

  • Security - coordinate remediation efforts for weekly security scans

  • Ensuring day-to-day maintenance and operational tasks are completed

  • Deploy and install infrastructure services, servers, and virtual workloads

  • Microsoft SCOM configuration and maintenance

  • Develop and maintain scripts in PowerShell

  • Execute changes to established technologies in a manner that is consistent to the Infrastructure Services Engineering plan and/or guidance

  • Group Policy (GPO) maintenance

  • Monitor and report on technologies and services

  • Perform Tier 3 support activities

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 to 7+ years of combined experience administering and operating global systems/servers

  • Foundational experience working with security compliance, certification, and audits

  • Experience utilizing a Security and Vulnerability Assessment Tool such as Rapid 7

  • Understanding of Security Protocols such as TLS and SSL

  • Experience with ADFS and Multifactor Authentication (MFA), preferably Cisco DUO

  • Experience with system monitoring and automation within global environments

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines

  • Experience working with insourced and outsourced IT Operations

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills

  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as MS Word, Excel, and Visio

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Linux OS

  • Experience maintaining Azure environments and Azure AD

  • Advanced analytic, organization, presentation, and facilitation skills

  • Self-directed, self-starter, and motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical degree, preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SSCP or equivalent

  • ITIL v3 Foundations and\or other relevant certifications
