Project Manager / Project Engineer
POWER Engineers seeks an energetic and motivated Project Manager/Project Engineer to join our team. Do you want to be part of a team that focuses on the mission of a cleaner, brighter, greener, and more sustainable future? Our Facilities Division with our Chemical Business Unit is quickly growing. We are looking for the right person to fill our Project Manager and Project Engineer openings. The successful candidate will work from the office four days per week and have the opportunity to work remotely one day per week. Candidates must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA, Boise, ID, or Houston, TX. Please come home to one of these beautiful locations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Your career at POWER will provide you with an opportunity to work on continuous processing systems with an emphasis on Hydrogen, Gas Processing, Renewable Fuels, and Chemicals. You will utilize your experience to help companies ranging from small startup firms to large multinational firms. You will have the opportunity to work on all phases of a project, from the initial front-end planning through the installation and commissioning of new processes, along with upgrades to existing chemical processing facilities. Your unique skills will help our clients change and adapt their facilities and systems to meet the dynamic changes in their markets.
The Facilities Division of POWER Engineers is a full-service A & E consulting engineering firm that specializes in and is a leader in Chemicals, Food & Beverage, Federal, and Industrial facility design.
Overall tasks:
Project Leadership and Management of capital project engineering design for Heavy Industry process systems.
Technical skills to lead and optimize the project deliverables; leading, coaching, and/or mentoring our internal design team as required by the project needs
Support and communicate with our internal design teams, external design resources as needed, and our client engineering team to ensure our design efforts are coordinated to provide the correct level of engineering to meet or exceed clients' expectations while staying within our project budgets.
Communication and relationship growth with an ever-broadening client base, including the development of new clients and projects.
Ability to work with our clients, their contractors, our partner contractors and suppliers, and our existing technical staff of Engineers and Architects to safely complete and deliver successful projects that meet or exceed the client expectations while providing a profitable result for POWER Engineers

Required Education/Experience
Portfolio of work representing a successful project management role across a variety of project types, sizes, and complexities with project work involving chemical and gas processing facilities
The applicant must be able to work successfully in a customer-focused, capital project delivery-oriented environment and have very supportive skills assisting teammates to succeed within the guidelines and direction provided during project execution
Familiarity with Front End Planning (CII) project life cycle models and deliverables typically provided in each phase gate
Good understanding and utilization of project controls staff (Procore systems, scheduling) engaged with your projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong negotiation and contract knowledge
Willing to travel approximately 30% of your time
Strong understanding of FEED deliverables, schedule development w/resources
Growing knowledge of applicable health & process safety requirements and environmental concerns
Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communications skills
Fluent in utilizing Microsoft Office products incl. MSProject
Desired Education/Experience
Successfully demonstrated Client Management experience
B.S. Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.2
10+ years of professional experience in Engineering and Project Management
CII or PIP engagement experience
Business development experience
Chemical and/or gas processing experience including Change Management associated with PSM and HAZOP facilitated engagements

Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $100K - $150K per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not includeadditionalcompensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
