Project Electrical Engineer (Remote)
POWER Engineers is currently seeking a Project Engineer/Lead Engineer to work with our Continental US (CONUS) Department 0160. The position requires candidates who are licensed professional engineers in electrical.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to be part of an engineering team engaged in engineering design projects in the Government market including mission-critical infrastructure design to include power delivery, power generation, power distribution, backup power, UPS, system studies, renewable energy, MEP design, and related projects.
Responsibilities include managing and leading design teams including sub-consultants, working with federal clients on energy and infrastructure projects, acting as the Design Quality Control Responsible Person in a QA/QC role for the electrical portion of projects, and acting as the Lead Electrical Engineer leading and overseeing electrical designs. The Project Engineer/Lead Engineer will be challenged with working on multiple large and small projects simultaneously.
The successful candidate must have a deeply technical engineering skill set and experience leading design teams and interface with federal clients. Required skills include:

Having led and managed technical project teams
Ability to successfully work with project scope, schedule, and budget
· Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills, be willing to travel domestically and internationally, and must work successfully in a customer-focused, project-oriented environment.
Required Education/Experience
BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Ten (10) years of applicable experience managing technical design teams and in the design and specification of low and medium-voltage power distribution systems, lighting systems, and facilities electrical studies.
Knowledge and experience with federal government projects
General understanding of architectural and engineering systems
Ability to mentor junior or mid-level engineers and designers across design teams
Must be a US Citizen
Desired Education/Experience
Ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance
Demonstrated experience with the successful execution of design-build (DB) and design-bid-build (DBB) execution of interdisciplinary design projects for US Government clients
Experience with mission-critical infrastructure projects.
Solid foundation in using CAD and BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation
