Project Coordinator - Remote
POWER Engineers is currently seeking a Project Coordinator to provide needed project support for our Power Delivery Overhead Transmission Line Department. This position will be based in our Boise, ID office with the ability to work remotely from a mutually acceptable location.
Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be involved in supporting the Department with the following aspects:
Ownership of their performance within the Department and quality of work
Alignment with POWER’s Culture
Technical efficiency in Microsoft Office software suite and other project organizational tools, displaying a willingness to learn and to be a self-starter
Support the Departments project workflow from project initiation through closeout
Lead and/or support the initial project execution layout to ensure an efficient and effective project plan has been established
Maintain detailed and organized Department record-keeping of Project submittals and client correspondents
Develop Transmission Line design knowledge pertaining to PLS-CADD, structure staking, foundations, assembly drawings, steel pole performance loading, material procurement, construction specification, and construction support
Through daily activities, identify gaps or inefficiencies within existing processes and work with project team to develop process improvements
Reviewing non-technical aspects of drawing and deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and accuracy of packages being transmitted
Support projects in Quality Assurance and Quality Control documentation both in sit down reviews and file organization
Continual technical growth through in-house and external industry conferences
Strong control of both written and verbal communication with internal colleagues and client representatives
Required Education/Experience
High School Diploma, Associates, or Bachelor Degree in the project management field
The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel
Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite
Desired Education/Experience
Ideal coursework includes Microsoft Office Suite, Primavera P6, Project Management, ProjectWise or other document management software.
Previous work experience, especially if related to project coordination, is desirable.
