Your career at POWER will provide you an opportunity to work on continuous processing systems with an emphasis on the Food & Beverage Industry. You will utilize your expertise to help companies ranging from small startup firms to large multinational firms. You will have the opportunity to work on all phases of a project, from the initial concept through the installation and commissioning of new lines, along with upgrades to existing production lines. Your unique skills will help our clients change and adapt their facilities and systems to meet the dynamic changes in their markets.
The Facilities Division of POWER engineers is a full-service consulting engineering firm is a leader in Food & Beverage, Federal, and Industrial facility design. POWER is consistently in the ENR top 5 for design firms in F&B.
Roles and Responsibilities
Design food process systems, including:
Designs process and mechanical systems based on rough sketches, minimal input, and personal experience
Researches information on layouts by utilizing design-specific reference materials
Recognizes the technical needs of a project and act on those as needed
Coordinate and clarify code regulations, specifications, and other detailed design requirements into designs
Implement POWER and Client CADD project standards efficiently for each project that is assigned
Leadership:
Develop a work plan to meet project requirements and communicate the plan effectively to others
Provide high-quality work that is completed to POWER Standards
Provides CADD project coordination
Customer & Vendor Site visits:
Customer site visits for data acquisition, meetings, and installation/start-up as needed
Support vendor FAT’s, reviews, and trials
Required Education/Experience
AA degree in CAD Design and 2+years of experience
2+ years of current AutoCAD 2D/3D experience AutoCAD 2014 or newer, AutoCAD Inventor, AutoCAD Plant 3D suite
2+ years of experience in the design and layout of Food and Beverage processing systems to customer standards
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word)
Proven ability to work in cross-functional engineering and design team
Ability to travel 20% to 50% within the United States
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Be available to work overtime as required
Desired Education/Experience
3D Modeling capabilities utilizing AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, and Navisworks.
Consulting Engineering Company experience.
Detail-oriented in all work and focused on quality and accuracy.
Excellent follow-through and coordination skills.
Effective in prioritizing and setting deadlines while meeting budgets
Ability to recognize the needs of clients, and respond accordingly
4+ years of utilizing industry CAD standards for layouts, PFD’s and P&ID’s
Minimum GPA of 3.2
Working knowledge of the latest scanning hardware and software with experience integrating them into construction documents and CAD Models
