The Federal Project Control Department at POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Control Coordinator/Accounting Assistant to work in our Boise, ID office. This position is a hybrid role with project coordination duties as well as accounting responsibilities to support project managers on various federal government projects. The Project Coordinator/Accounting Assistant is an integral member of the project team, responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities under the direction of project managers.
Additionally, this position will work closely with project managers in the financial management of projects, handling everything involving the financial side of the project including project initiation, budgets, expenditure tracking, invoicing, status reports, management of unbilled costs, purchase requisitions, percent complete updates, and accounts receivable. This position has a wide variety of client contact and must represent POWER in a professional manner.
Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
This coordinator/accounting assistant is responsible for facilitating the execution of project deliverables and ensuring milestones are met on multi-discipline complex (Federal) projects. Other responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
Support the creation and maintenance of engineering documents, i.e. reports, basis of design, drawing packages as well as provide a quality review of these documents
Work closely with all levels of management and disciplines/departments within POWER
Coordinate & communicate relevant project information to the team
Provide high level coordination/administrative and analytic support to Project Managers
Track and lead all project changes during development
Liaison (Point-of-Contact) between PEI and the client
Maintain project folders and ensures document/record transfer information into ProjectWise
Support and attend key project meetings (internal or with client) at the Project Manager’s discretion; this includes providing conference planning, scheduling, and in meeting support
Review Employee Expense Reports and ensure compliance with Federal (FAR) regulations
Willingness to travel as needed
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in the roles and responsibilities listed above
Solid organization skills including quality, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills.
Strong communication and writing skills.
Advanced analytical skills
Must be Self-motivated with proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team within a fast-paced environment
A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel required
Working knowledge of ERP system.
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Oracle ERP experience is preferred
Experience in federal accounting and understanding of federal regulations
Detailed knowledge of project contracts and change order documents
