Benefits Coordinator

POWER Engineers is seeking a Benefits Coordinator for our Boise, Idaho or Hailey, Idaho office location. The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the company health and welfare programs for employees and eligible dependents. This position functions as a liaison between plan administrators and members while advising members on eligibility, coverage, and other benefits matters. This person will assist in monitoring employee inquires and maintaining the Benefit Department’s timely and accurate responses (within 24 hours). This role also provides technical support in the delivery of benefit programs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily benefit processing (enrollments, medical, vision, dental and FSA/HSA claim submissions and claims resolution, benefit departure notices, QMCSO’s, and employee benefit files maintenance) includes but not limited to, working on the weekly error, suspended, and life event reports. Work with the Business Analyst for assistance with resolving OAB related issues.

  • Conduct weekly new-hire orientations. Provide backup for the Area Lead with the Hawaii Orientations. Develop and manage new-hire materials. Prepare packets to be mailed to office locations and schedule the meeting invites.

  • By review of the Oracle Advanced Benefits system monitor and maintain an accurate database and ensure timely updates and data transmission to the Payroll Department for premium deductions. Provide POWER quarterly employer HSA contribution information for deposit.

  • Provide day-to-day coordination and communication of group benefit programs (group health, dental, vision, worker’s compensation, FSA/HSA, for all company employees. Draft for review benefits article(s) for Surges publication and Benefits communications (emails, handouts, forms, etc.) to employees explaining benefit services, qualified life events, and changes.

  • Perform bi-weekly Payroll/Benefits deduction audits via multiple comparison reports to also include data validation and communicating with Payroll of any adjustments.

  • Design and distribute electronic and hard copy materials for benefit orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions. Update Portal with updated Benefit materials, to also include the 401(k) Quarterly Goal Maker Fact Sheets.

  • Leave of Absence Administration and handling Workers Compensation Claims.

  • Coordinate annual onsite wellness offerings for POWER office locations (Biometric Health Screening and Flu Shots)

  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned and provide backup support to the Benefits Administrators and Benefits Analyst/Benefits Accountant.

  • Monitoring and responding to inquires from the general Benefits Email account

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 1-2 years experience in Benefits Administration

  • Working knowledge of MS Office products

  • Working knowledge of Oracle Applications

  • Customer Service

  • Good Communications Skills

  • Organized and detailed oriented
